The "Florida Birth-Related Neurological Injury Compensation Act"
is a law passed by the Florida Legislature in 1988. The initials
"NICA" are sometimes used to refer to the "Neurological Injury
Compensation Act," and sometimes used to refer to the "Neurological Injury
Compensation Association," which is the quasi-state agency created to
administer the NICA program. The whole program is also sometimes
referred to as the "Florida Birth Related Neurological Injury
Compensation Plan."
Serving All of Florida - Free Consultation
Our services are free to you because in NICA cases our attorneys' fees and any expenses we incur are paid by NICA on top of your award. In other words, our services do not reduce the amount of your recovery in any way.
